Clothes Distribution Day

The 'Big Day' has finally arrived for mothers and children of communities around Chikankata. On 20th February 2010 (Saturday), the Christian Resource Centre has distributed babies' and children's clothes to the most needy families (55 families in all) of the area. This has been made possible by the generous contributions of various partners within and abroad. Lindsay Elizabeth Rossendell specifically donated boxes of clothes for this programme all the way from Australia.

Finally, Mr. Bosswell Mboozi, the Centre Director has announced names of the recepients as each one of them take their turns

Mrs. Mboozi, wife of the Director also assists in the distribution, making sure that each mother select the right size and colour for their children

Mrs. Kim (Mapuii), w/o Dr. Zaia, besides contributing towards the programme also assisted in the distribution. She feels privileged to see off smiling faces of many mothers and children

Medical Library in Zambia

This project is supported by Jonathan Igne, Biachi and Margaret Igne in USA. Other people who have donated medical books include Dr. Bill Ward in USA and Stevenson Valanni. The target beneficiaries for this project are medical students from within and abroad who come to Chikankata for their electives, biomedical students, student nurses, and other health professionals of Chikankata Hospital including the physicians and surgeons.
